If you’re planning to lay turf then it’s likely that you are going to need to order topsoil too. It’s recommended that new turf should be laid on at least 50mm depth of fertile topsoil, this is essential to ensure the grass plants in the rolls of turf can root effectively in their new environment, to provide a healthy garden lawn.

This means for every 10 square metres of turf you’re installing, you will need 500 litres of quality, fertile topsoil. With our Lawn TurfPak that’s exactly what you get, so we make it nice and easy to order; for example, if you have a 30sq.m area you will need to order 3 x Lawn TurfPaks.

Topsoil.co.uk uses bags measured at a product bag fill of 500 litres and certified to carry 1000kg, this is to facilitate the Twinstak system. Bag fill is verified as correct by using a certified system in accordance with BS EN12580:2013 to ensure all products are 500 litres when packed.
