As well as increasing soil fertility, the organic matter helps soil structure, especially for clay, sandy or chalky soils. The improved soil structure assists with drainage and the ability to retain air and water. So whether you’re potting-on seedlings or planting up hanging baskets and containers, you’ll have happier plants.
